EXPERIENCE

Beachcomber Productions founder Adam Chenery has worked in television for over 25 years. Beginning in his native UK at Sky Sports, his career has since taken him all over the world, gaining experience, knowledge and contacts across Europe, USA, Indonesia and the Middle East.

“Throughout a great career in television, I’ve developed strong editorial judgement and journalistic integrity, values that I hold dear and that I bring to every role. I’m highly experienced at the top level of live TV sports, Event Production and Documentary Filmmaking. Life is about broad experiences, and I’ve been fortunate to be given multiple chances to perform the job I love all over the world. Over the years I’ve built up a significant book of contacts, and I’m proud to be friends with many, but most importantly, that I’m trusted by all.

Right from the outset and through the growth of social media I have produced edits, managed strategies, and delivered content that works supporting, promoting and driving linear programming. I’m experienced in development producing, writing several treatments, and working from pitch to production on shows that have been commissioned, as well as successful award submissions.

During my time at Sky I worked on many Box Office fights - Naseem Hamed, Ricky Hatton, Lennox Lewis, even Mike Tyson in the pouring rain at Hampden Park! It was my responsibility and my privilege to be the USA on-site Producer for Lewis v Tyson in Memphis, Lewis v Klitschko in LA and many others. I’ve produced hundreds of football OBs and live studios from Champions League to National League. I’ve been a champion of Women’s Football for many years, cutting numerous features and conducting interviews with the Chelsea Women’s team in 18 months working at the Club.

Long and short form documentaries are a real passion of mine. Boys of ‘66, Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton, The Lawman, Mark Selby. Life of A Champion and Football Godfathers for the History Channel are just a few I’ve had the pleasure of producing. I thrive on being part of a team who support and learn from each other. Empowering people to grow their confidence and be brave ensures we are more diverse and creative and don’t miss opportunities. I’m a passionate producer with an insight to what is needed to have the best experience. Challenging our decisions and thinking “what next” makes sure we stay relevant, encourages a positive working environment and, critically, delivers the best content.”  Adam Chenery
